Beenleigh Court House

Beenleigh, QLD

Wilson Architects were the successful winners of a shortlisted design competition for the refurbishment of the Beenleigh Town Square and Courthouse interface. Logan City Council (LCC) and the Department of Justice and Attorney General (DJAG) sought to “deliver an exemplar public realm interface between the proposed Beenleigh Town Square (BTS) project and the existing Beenleigh Courthouse building.”

Wilson Architects' design provides an integrated approach to the courthouse refurbishment and extension in concert with the planned major redevelopment of Beenleigh Town Square. The design proposal incorporates DJAG’s functional requirements for refurbishment, additional space and discrete entry whilst maintaining a key civic presence and prominent backdrop to the new town square being developed by LCC.
